Should britains prison system be tightened.

The living conditions of uk prisons should be tightened.

Yes the living conditions should be tightened because right now murderers walk around playing Xbox and communicating with other prisoners, they are not really serving a prison sentence, more just having a good time.

Let’s compare our prisons to another nations, for this example, America. America is very well known for its legal system, how it works and of course it’s prisons. Murderers in american prisons are in a cell 23/7, they are serving 25 years to life and some even face death row. American prisons are certainly much stricter than ours.

But in some way that is the British way of doing it, to some extent you can not compare our prison system to Americans because we are a totally different country and our laws are on different scales.

On the other hand, their are citizens in Britain that purposely commit crimes just to put themselves back in prison, this may be because they need to or because it is so relaxed they enjoy it,now this can be seen as a good thing for them because it allows them a solid three meals a day, and a roof over their head but the prison system is already crowded so all the people doing this accumulates and over crowds our prisons and people that need to be locked up are not being.

To kill a mocking bird [chp1]

Harper lee introduces the theme of social contracts in chapter one when Dill,Jem and scout start talking about the face of Boo Radley and Dill says “let’s try to make him come out. At this point you can tell every one was shocked, this may in its self be breaking a social contract because no one ever went into the Radley house, that was made clear by Jem saying “if you wanted to get yourself killed all you had to do was to knock I’m the Radleys door”. Another main point would be when Dill dares Jem to run up to the Radley house and touch it, in this time or maybe in their social contract or in fact maybe just Jem, he never turns down a dare this was also made clear scout stating that Jem never declined a dare.
